Riverside Connecticut Wedding & New England Area

Good morning, its monday, and Normally I'm somewhere near the beach in California, but across the this is perfect town USA, which reminds me of my hometown, Danville CA. This literally feels like 200 years ago.

Looking into the Long Island Sound, its so beautiful here.

There was this patch of leaves and Rachel and I parked our car and laid down, snapped a shot and moved on.  In cali the vineyards will change color like this, but we don't get that much color change as out here.  Its crazy, they pile leaf piles as high as people and 20 feet long.  Thats their saturday chore.  While the little kids play in the middle of it. I must admit, i did drive through a couple leaf piles, it was just too tempting...
Looking up, the color looks as if the trees are on fire!
Rachel picked out her favorite leafs and arranged them on the hood of the car.
They call this the Sugar Maple tree leaf.  So I tried to see for myself.  It didn't taste like sugar or maple, I wonder why they call it that.

Driving along the the roads, getting lost was super fun, cause you would see this all day long.
They typical house, here, no curbs, fences, just amazing colors, smiles, kids & dogs playing everywhere, as if Rachel and I didn't want a dog enough, this may have been the clincher!

We are heading to NYC now, its been a sweet weekend up here, I'll be positing some of the best wedding images from the weekend, Here are two of my fav's...

Scott & Courtney were such an amazing couple, and the sweetest people ever. It was such a pleasure to serve them and their whole family this weekend. Thanks guys...

Fall Fun

After jumping off a plane and heading back to the studio, I met Brian and Audrey and we did a short session. Every so often, i get a dream to shoot something cool, and I send out to my current couples the opportunity to jump on a cool shoot. They did! When I flew into SLO this afternoon, i spotted a vineyard and nailed it down to the row. I was looking for a TON of leaves that were on the ground. So right at sunset we headed back to this spot. Even though the sun was behind the tallest peak on the horizon, missing direct sunlight, we still got some great shots, and I am amped and stoked at what we got. So here goes! Thanks for coming out guys, and NEXT TIME, when the snow is in the forecast, be ready, cause the option is on again!

I love it when I'm shooting, and my couple just relaxes and gets down. They didn't care about their hair, shoes, or details, even though they were dressed fly, they were in love and forgot the details, and just had fun with each other. Thats what these shoots are all about.

Coolest Friends - Birthday surprise

Yesterday, my friends surprised me with a camping trip to the beach this weekend for my birthday. I have been traveling SO much lately and its SO nice to spend some time around the Central Coast of California. It was warm, with offshore winds and the sweet smell of fall was in the air. We hung out and (unfortunately no surf!) but we did play a huge game of Frisbee golf which lasted a few hours, then bbq’d some great food and had a campfire. Later, Bryan broke out the guitars and he and I played till late. It is such a blessing to have such great friends who can get away. Life is so busy and I get so caught up myself in the 'business' and daily task list. It is so refreshing to get away, I ALWAYS forget how simple life is when there are no computers, cell phones and chores waiting around the house. Camping is so organic and for me at least, it brings me back to nature, and cleanses me from any stress.
