Fogs End: Dacian and Heidi

The other week I had the privilege to meet and photograph the wedding of Dacian and Heidi Hippeli! They are such a fun and adventuresome couple with a visibly clear love and passion for each other and for life! Their wedding day totally captured their personalities as it was such a fun, beautiful, and casual event.
The wedding was held on the bluffs of Moonstone Beach and the reception was held @ the quaint and lovely Fogs End Barn in Cambria. The style of the wedding was beach beauty meets rustic eclectic barn. They were so blessed to have Dacians mom (who does interior design) and friends there as they really transformed the barn into a stunning, elegant, and romantic getaway. I really loved the one of a kind driftwood arbor that she made (see photos below).
The flowers for the day both on the tables in the barn and in hand were provided by Corrine at Panacea Event Floral Design and were so simple and beautiful. I just love the fresh mixture she chose of Roses and Orchids and an added bonus for me was that I had them in my car for a bit and wow it made my car smell so nice! :)
The reception was totally romantic and food by Epic Weddings carried on the same romantic+savory vibe! Dacian and Heidi chose some of my absolute favorite dishes that they offer from the crostini with bufala mozzarella, basil, and aged balsamic drizzle to the carved beef station accompanied by the BEST rissoto I have ever had!!!
Everyone at the wedding seemed to have such a wonderful time as they were all so relaxed and in vacation mode as most all were from out of town. This aire of vacation is what I think really allowed the day to happen just as it would with no crazy stress or problems, it was just truely a beautiful day!!!
Dacian and Heidi- It was so wonderful to meet you both and I am so glad that Dan and I could be a part of one of the biggest days of your lives!!! Thanks again for such a wonderful time and I wish you both the best.
PS: Dacian I think you and Dan should go surf next time you are in San Luis. :)

Natural Love: Dan & Gemma

I started to try to wright a quote about love that would help me describe the love that was felt at Dan and Gemmas wedding but as I tried I realised that it is said so much better then I ever could in my favorite book. So here you go.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails."

This love was the love that I witnessed at Dan and Gemmas wedding a few weeks ago in Carmel. It was real, genuine, fresh, and beautiful! I so enjoyed the vibe of their day as it was so relaxed and smooth. The day was all about them, their union, and the joining of two wonderful families. The wedding ceremony took place at the stunning and traditional Old Carmel Mission and the reception was following at the Carmel Valley Art Center.
It was such a beautiful and naturally smooth flowing event coordinated by the Aileen and the lovely ladies of Prestigious Planning (see their group photo below). The bouquets we made of a classy white bundle of fresh roses and white accent flowers by Florabella Designs. The rest of the decor revolved around a fun and clever artichoke theme which was not only in the centerpieces but was continued on a handy recipe card that they gave guests to take home and then later they were even taken on the dance floor and used as dancing props! :)
What a fun time every one had as it was a destination wedding for everyone and they all seemed to be loving the natural beauty of the Carmel valley not to mention the un-believable weather for a wedding held in mid October!!! :)
Dan & Gemma,
Sophie, Phil, and I had such a wonderful time at your wedding and feel so blessed to have been a part of it! I have really enjoyed getting to know the both of you and I hope when you come to SLO to see friends or to run a race or two :) that you will stop by and see Dan and myself! I am so excited for you both in this new season of your life may it be wondrously blessed! Enjoy!

The Warmth of Love: Candice and Louie

Several weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing another amazing wedding here in the central coast!!! This wedding was so much fun as the entire day was relaxed and so put together. Candice and Louie both were such troopers as that day it was like 105+ in San Luis and Paso which made for extra care on our part as to keep the bride, groom, bridal part and guests from melting!!! The beautiful traditional ceremony was conveniently held and the San Luis Obispo Mission where it was dark and cool and the reception was at Robert Hall Winery in Paso Robles. The reception worked so nicely at Robert Hall as the guests spent the time when it was warm out down stairs in the grand barrel room enjoying drinks in a nice cool place while we took photos of the group!!! :)
From a photo stand point this event was sooo ideal as the wedding was at 11 and then we had around 2.5 hours of time to photograph the bride and groom and the bridal party before we had to be at the reception!!! Note to all Brides allowing this much time for photos is the best idea ever!!! It was so nice as it gave us tons of time to capture some really fun shots with the group! We also had enough time in the timeline to do a sunset shoot which was more than ideal! (see photos below)
The entire event despite the heat was so lovely from the cake which was donated by the best man to the fabulous food served by Chef Charlie and his team!!! The guests also were having a great time as Brian from Kramer Djs kept the music going so smooth till the very end!!!
Candice and Louie-
Thanks so much for letting me be a part of our day! Sophie and I have had so much fun getting to know you both and I cant wait to see you next week for your viewing!!!

Carmel Beauty: Yosselyn and Dlyan

The other week Dan and I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Yosselyn and Dylan @ the Highlands Inn in Carmel California. It was such a fun time as it was a it of a destination wedding for everyone as the bride and groom and most of the guests were mostly from northern California. This fact that the event was a vacation for people really made the wedding very intimate as all 65 of the guests were close friends and family. It was this intimacy in combination with the natural beauty of the surrounding Carmel area that set us up for so really beautiful photos!! Dan and I had so much fun as there were so many place to shoot both at the hotel and on the Beach. The beaches in Carmel are simply stunning as they have thick white sand that is on par with that of Hawaii! :) It was so nice to finally meet Yosselyn as we have been talking over the phone for the past few months and we didn't get to do an e-shoot before as they were to far away. We were able to finish the fabulous weekend though with a fun post wedding casual shoot with them down town Carmel Beach on Sunday. This was quite the shoot for me as I started it off by falling on my head out of a tree while shooting!!! :) Don't worry I am ok... I think :).
Yoss and Dylan, thanks so much for letting Dan and I be a part of your beautiful wedding and for not laughing to much at me when I fell out of the tree! Your wedding was so beautiful and I am truly impressed Yoss by your long distance coordinating skills as everything the day of from the tables to the food was perfect! I hope you will come down to the central coast sometime soon to pay us a visit! Enjoy the photos!

Mikey & Joanna: Bloomington Love

Several weeks ago, I had the honor to travel to Bloomington Illinois to photograph the beautiful wedding of Mikey and Joanna Wang! It was quite a crazy weekend for me as I had a wedding that Friday that I was shooting with Mike and our team and then I left for Illinois @ 6am on Saturday to shoot the wedding Sunday am. With all the connections etc. I think it took me 12 hours to get there but even though it was a quick timeline with lots of waiting, boy was it worth it! :)
I had so much fun further getting to know Joanna, Mikey and their families!!! From the moment I landed to the moment I left, I could not have been taken care of better or felt more welcome. I instantly felt accepted and cared for as if I were part of their family (which by the way I can't thank you all enough for). Everyone was so kind to me and really helped me get acquainted with the cute twin cities of Bloomington and Normal. This was largely thanks to Joanna's wonderful mom who kindly taxied me around on Sunday am to scope out spots to shoot at later in the day (which helped so much so thank you again)!
As I mentioned before and will say again the first thing that comes to mind when I think of the weekend is the word Family. The entire wedding really reflected what was most important to the couple and that was their Family and not just thier blood family but also the wonderful church family of brothers and sisters that were there supporting them! From the third generation dress that Joanna wore (her grandmother first and mom second), the singing by her father and sister-in-law at the ceremony, to the beautiful flowers that were also made by her sister in-law!! All the family members there seemed to in some way take a part in the event which made the joy and excitement even sweeter for everyone. It was such a dear ceremony and the love and beauty of purity was so evident in the vows they shared!
On an visual note, the entire event was so cheery, colorful and bright to which everyone kept saying all day "oh that is so Joanna"! From the bright pink flowers, to the blue bridesmaids dresses with the green sashs it all pulled together so well and was perfect in all the many locations we had the privilege to shoot at. I really had fun also that day as it was also not the normal place that I get to shoot as we don't have many soy bean fields or beautiful lush green forests here locally, so it was really fun for me to get to try some new back drops. I also loved the old book store that we shot in, as I have always wanted to photograph in a location like that and this was such a perfect time to do it especially as it was our rainy day backup spot.
The last but most defiantly not least part that I loved about all this was that my best friend from Cal Poly SLO, Kristine was a guest at the wedding and I had such a fun time getting to see her while I was there which was so much fun!!!
Mikey and Joanna, thanks again for allowing me to photograph your beautiful and God honoring wedding! I hope that you, your friends, and your family will enjoy these images for years to come and that they will remind you of the commitments you have both made together and to the Lord. God bless you both and I hope to see you again soon!

Home on the Range: Andrew & Sara

What an Fabulous event!!!!
The other week I photographed the wedding of Sara and Andrew Berry at the whimsical and historical Santa Margarita Ranch!
The Ranch was a photographers dream location as around every corner was a new and even more unbelievable backdrops from the vintage Trains and barn to the horses and classic movie sign!
All the details of this event were spectacular from the amazing flower moss balls by Panacea Floral to the Beautiful lighting and lively Entertainment which was provided by Brian from Kramer Djs. It was also so cool as the event was catered by incredibly talented students from the Paso Robles Culinary Arts Academy! They made such yummy food and the cake they made was so professional and tasty too (see photos below).
I have had such a great time getting to know Sara and Andrew over the past few months. It has been nice as they are local as I have had the chance to get together with Sara many times just to chat and get also to hear about her upcoming wedding! I really love it when brides get so excited about all the details of their wedding. It makes the photos so much fun when the couples are excited about them and when they put the time and thought into the planning process as it really allows their personalities to show through!
Andrew and Sara, thanks you so much for the honor of photographing your wedding!
It was truly and amazing day and I am so excited that now the pre-wedding business is over for you and that now you are married YEAH!!! :) Have a blast on your honeymoon in Hawaii and I can't wait to schedule the image viewing with you both as the images are so much fun see you soon!

The Cliffs Resort: Ben & Eve

Several weeks ago I had the privilege to photograph the beautiful Wedding of Ben and Eve Fine.
It was such a stunningly beautiful day at The Cliffs Resort in Shell beach. The blue sky and crystal water made the scene just breathtaking. The view was also stunningly accented by an amazing floral and curtain arbor provided by Panacea Event Floral Design.
I had s0 much fun shooting the rehearsal and prep shots as it really allowed me to get to know all of Ben and Eves friends and family before the big day! It was also especially fun for me as my neighbor and one of our past brides were both in the bridal party! I love it when the world keeps getting smaller and smaller! :)
Their wedding had such a great vibe of and tradition, sincerity, and love throughout the entire event. From the careful thought Ben put into the custom monogrammed pocket watches to the tear flowing traditional Jewish Ceremony with the colorful Ketubah!
The reception tent was also stunning and the party so much fun as they had an amazing live Show band up from LA called Soulicious there to keep the party going all night! We really had so much fun dancing to this fabulous live music as Eve had also provided fun dancing props like glow sticks and glasses to keep the fun alive even till the very end of the evening!

Wow...Ben and Eve what a fabulous day! Thanks so much for letting our team take part in it! You two are so sweet and I am so grateful to have gotten to know such a fun and sweet couple. I wish you the best in your marriage and Dan and I are so glad that you just live down the road so hopefully we can get together! See you both on October 2nd!

Zenaida Cellars: Jed and India

So the long awaited post!
Thanks so much to all you friends and family for your continued patience as I know you all have been so kindly waiting to see these images.

Where to start... as you can see it has been such a fun and crazy summer for me (6 weddings in one month)! I feel continually so blessed to photograph all the weddings that I do as I just LOVE my job and think it is the best although at times I feel a bit slammed and nuts with all the post processing. So thanks to you all for your patience. :)

Jed and India's wedding was such a wonderful day full of love, beauty, friends and good food! :)
The event was held at Zenaida Cellars in Paso Robles off the 46. What a gorgeous place! I just love shooting there from the fun fountain to the big oak tree and vineyards. It was truly a stunning spot for a wedding!

Everything at this event was so planned and carefully put together from the fabulous center pieces with butterflies to the to-die-for Spanish style food cooked by Chief Charlie and his team! It was fun to talk with India through the planning process and periodically get updates from her about the things they were doing and such as it made the final culmination of the day that much sweeter! You could really see on the day of, all the time and thought spent pay off as the event ran so smoothly and the guests had so much fun.

Jed and India, thanks so much for allowing me to shoot your wedding. Dan and I had such a fun time hanging out with you both and I hope that when you come back in town we can get together! :) I hope you enjoy the images I can't wait for you to see the rest! :)

Tony and Colleen: Dolphin Bay Bliss

On Sunday August Second I had such a fun time photographing the wedding of Tony and Colleen!
The day was absolutely gorgeous and it all went so smoothly as Sunday weddings usually have a nice and mellow vibe for some reason.
Sophie, Dan, and I got there and took some of the prep picks at a fun Salon in AG called Rontal Salon and then ventured to the fabulous Dolphin Bay Hotel where the wedding would be held.
All was so picutresque from the grand and gorgeous room that the bridal party was staying in (keep in mind their suite is bigger than my entire house) :) to the ceremony overlooking the crystal blue ocean!
This was the case down to the flowers which we provided by Jenny Mc Niece, which were stunning and acted as the perfect jewelery to an already stunning neckline! You have got to love me and the cheesy metaphors. :)
Also just to note, the food prepared by the executive Chief Evan Treadwell at the Dolphin bay was fabulous, it was perfectly cooked and beautiful presented as well. (see photos below)

All together this day could not have run smoother or have been more beautiful!

Colleen and Tony I wish you the best in your new lives together and I am so excited for your image viewing on Friday! I hope you all enjoy the images! :)

Chlesea & Greg: The Color of Love Continues

Thanks for your patience on this one everybody!
I have been so excited to post this wedding for you all over the past two weeks Now the images are here and ready to view!!
The other week I had the privilege to photograph the beautiful wedding of Chelsea and Greg!
This was such a beautiful and colorful wedding from all the the fabulous and fun personalities in bridal party, the bright sunny weather, to the yellow accents everywhere that just made the event overflow with joy and cheer! (you will see what I mean in the photos below) :)
This wedding was so creative and cute as Chelsea and her sister Lauren made and collected throughout the year all these fun antique plates, vases, bowls, bird cages and bird silhouettes, feathers, and tons more. It was all these little personal "Anthropologie like" touches that really made the already stunning canvas of Tiber Canyon Ranch come to life and show their unique style and personality.
This event was also so much fun also due to the rockin dinner/dancing party which was facilitated by Missy from Kramer Djs who really took it up a notch as everyone seemed to be really having the time of their lives! :)
I hope you all really enjoy the images and like I have said before I had a really hard time choosing images so sorry but there are quite a few!

Chelsea and Greg: Thanks again for the honor of photographing your wedding and engagement! Dan and I really have enjoied our times together and getting to know the both of you! I am so happy for you and I cant wait to see you for your Premire image release party!!!
