Selecting a photographer is choosing someone who will be a trusted resource for the visual and emotional elements of your day. Consider their personality and fit, what they value and are passionate about, as well as the style of their work. What matters most is how much they care about what matters to you. This role is more than a photographer, but also a friend who pursues knowing who you are and what you want, and will make that look beautiful.
The moment that we got engaged and we started thinking about the wedding, the one thing we didn't have to think about was who we were going to select as our photographer. We met Mike & Rachel when they were shooting our best friend's wedding. The entire day we couldn't stop commenting on how amazing they were. Months later at our wedding Mike & Rachel pulled through again. Our photos are fantastic and Mike couldn't have been more professional. He has this way of making everyone feel calm and comfortable and keeping everything on track. Mike & Rachel are so in love and you know that they are truly honored to be a part of your wedding day. Choosing Mike to photograph our wedding was truly the best decision we made.

Working with Mike and Rachel Larson was a wonderful experience for my wife and I on our wedding day. Three years later what stands out about working with them is the meaningful relationship we formed with them during our engagement session and our wedding day. We didn’t have strangers shooting our wedding, we had new friends who shared their love for us and our marriage through our time with them in front of and behind the lens. Our wedding was held at a beautiful estate in Beverly Hills and they did an excellent job of scouting the site to find interesting shots that captured us as well as the venue. We feel so blessed to have had Mike and Rachel at our wedding and would recommend inviting them to be part of your wedding as well!

This is not a traditional engagement photo shoot. The joys of being together may involve an adventure, or just relaxing on a blanket in the shade on a summer day. The primary goal is for you to have as much fun as possible together, going wherever you please, and then we will document those moments, sprinkled with few great portraits throughout the session. Just as a pre-wedding hair & makeup session is important to set expectations and to build trust, this portrait shoot is mostly to get to know each other, so that I may experience the essence of who you two are together. This ensures that the wedding day experience is the best it can be.
The day before the wedding may not be high on the list of photographs desired, but the setup for perfection starts here. We will walk through the most photogenic and important locations where the emotions, transitions and highly anticipated photographs will occur and ensure the light, direction, timing, and logistics will set up perfectly for the most candid and beautiful photographs. This brief meeting involves getting to know the key people involved, assessing light and any anticipated challenges that may need additional preparation for on our part. We conclude this with excitement for a perfect ceremony & wedding day.
All of our packages come standard with the ceremony rehearsal walk through, and part of the welcome party, which the most relaxed day of the weekend, as there are no timelines and nothing official. This is a joyous affair with a focus on first connections with everyone and reuniting with friends. Its a perfect time for us to get to know everyone and document the day. The brief ceremony walk through maximizes the photographic potential of the imagery from the highlights and heartfelt moments.
The wedding weekend memories begin long before a few hours before the ceremony. We look at the weekend as part of a dynamic and unique variety of events with great ranges of emotion, heartfelt tears, joys and activities. The families that commission us often cherish the photographs from the smaller weekend events such as tastings, friendly yard games/tennis brackets, lakeside pool parties, late night cigar gatherings, & Sunday brunches.
How you experience viewing your wedding photographs essential. This 75 minute show is timed perfectly to a curated selection of music. The kit arrives the day before your scheduled Unveiling release of the wedding photographs. Make this a fun event, and invite those who weren’t able to attend the wedding or simulcast the event. On average our couples view this show 4-5 times with 2 groups of friends & family. First alone together, then with their beloved group who loves them.
..."Mike & Rachel were a dream to work with. The essence of working with them was peaceful, professional, and brought a soothing partnership to our day. What their presence and craft added was perfect and what they took away were any possible problem that would arise."
